Think it - Say it

This manual is used to teach verbal reasoning and language organisation skills to children with cognitive or language impairments.

These materials can be used in the classroom at home study or in individual therapy and can also adapt the questions for adults on your cognitive rehabilitation case load. Children, aged 4 through 10 years, are lead through 75 black and white stimulus drawings and a hierarchy of guided questions about each illustrated situation.

The pictures show everyday experiences and are divided into three sections:


Section I pictures show a problem and a solution
Section II pictures show a problem but no solution
Section III pictures show no problem - you present the possible problem.

Questions for each picture are divided into four categories -


Inferential Reasoning
Problem Solving
Determining Causality
Generalising.

Under these basic categories are 13 task areas such as 'Explaining an Inference', 'Identifying the Solution' or 'Relating Personal Experiences'.
