This activity is designed to help young people to improve their skills of describing and explaining; two important areas of narrative work. Sometimes although ordinary sentence structures may be managed fairly well, a student may struggle to describe a process or account for an outcome.
There are 60 cards in this set, consisting of 30 'Describe' cards, and 30 'Explain' cards. The 'Describe' cards aim to help students to practice and develop the ability to narrate a process, eg how to make a sandwich. The 'Explain' cards promote the ability to tell others how a situation has come about.
